Based on a photographic survey of the statues in Berlin's Altes Museum, missing, functional or broken elements are re-enacted in the form of small sculptures to take away. Where the scale of time (Greek or Roman antiquity) tells the great fiction of European origins to be integrated into German heritage, here the scale is that of the minuscule, of what is visible only to specialists: details, raccord elements, damaged parts. By reconstructing them, they are abstracted at the same time as they leave room for a much more down-to-earth materiality, which is possible with the local resources in terms of limestone, its colors and its defects.
