Swiss artist born in 1990, I live and work in Fribourg. Before joining the Bern University of the Arts (HKB/HEAB) and dedicating myself to art, I pursued academic training in earth sciences. This scientific background has shaped my way of understanding the material world, providing me with a deep comprehension of geological processes and the temporal dynamics embedded in matter. This dual perspective, both scientific and artistic, fuels my projects and leads me to explore the relationships between mineral matter, its history, and its contemporary implications.
My artistic practice is rooted in mineral-based materials, giving rise to projects that take shape through sculptures and installations. Stone combines and interacts with other objects and materials, revealing unexpected dialogues and subtle tensions. Through my research on rock, I bring to light details, connections, and implications that manifest in a work or a series of works. These modest, sometimes discreet gestures carry a strong symbolic charge, akin to footnotes in a scholarly publication. Through my works, I invite viewers to reconsider their relationship with materials, their memory, and their place in our collective narratives.
