Sacha Rappo (*1990) is a Swiss artist based in Fribourg (CH). After a master's degree in earth sciences at the University of Fribourg (CH), he obtained a bachelor's degree in visual arts at the Bern University of the Arts. Based on research, his work questions ancient sculpture, agricultural tools and abandoned everyday objects. With a great economy of means and in an assumed precariousness, he isolates fragments, reverses the scales as if to point out the accidents proper to the conservation of works, their appropriation as heritage and more prosaically the expensive and polluting transport or other disposable devices and scenographies of exhibition. The displacements they make are responsible, modest and yet full of meaning, like footnotes in a scholarly publication.
